At the helm

Serena Bower (MCIPD), Director, Bower HR Consultancy

Serena Bower is a qualified HR professional and a member of the CIPD for over 20 years. She owns Bower HR Consultancy, an outsourced HR services company for start-up and small businesses.

Her passion is unlocking the barriers to successful growth for SMEs.

Serena's background is in HR and Learning Development environments within IT, Banking and Transport sectors in London which spans 23 years, and of more recent years with a host of small businesses across a number of different industries. She has implemented successful learning development programmes; guided business owners through complex HR situations and contributed to the improved processes and shaping of business strategy of many new start-ups.

She is fuelled by her passion and enthusiasm for understanding the needs of people and ensuring this contributes to the success of business.

Serena firmly believes that people are a business's greatest asset - a tenet she lives out through her advice, guidance and practical support to business.

Natasha Hamblin

Natasha has in excess of ten years’ experience working as an independent contractor supporting SMEs with Operational needs. She has a deep understanding of the unique HR needs of such companies, and possesses extremely strong technical skills. She has successfully leveraged the power of social media platforms to deliver on numerous business development and recruitment objectives for clients.

Having substantial knowledge of managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle including: employee relations process; redundancies and business restructures; employee wellbeing and engagement strategies, Natasha has experience in offering support on a variety of different HR topics including, disciplinary and grievance, recruitment and talent planning, learning and development, and contract and policy review.

CIPD Level 5 qualified, Natasha’s strengths lie in her ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a track record of on-time quality delivery.

Natasha believes that a flexible and responsive approach to client requirements, along with exceptional communication skills, is the key to building and maintaining great client relationships.

Her understanding and experience with the full employee lifecycle means that she is able to connect the dots for her customer and manage the complexity of the various processes within the cycle.
